句子平行结构要求：
同等重要的、并列的句子成分（思想、概念）要用同类的语法形式来表示，要用并列连词（如and，but，or，neither... nor，not only... but also... 等）连接，即，并列连词所连接的应该是名词对名词，副词对副词，分词对分词，不定式对不定式，句子对句子等。
如：He drives not carefully but slowly. （他开车不是很小心，而是开得很慢。）
如：The patient’s symptoms were fever, dizziness, and headache.（这个病人的症状是发烧、眩晕和头痛。）
如：The old man returned home, disappointed and exhausted.（这位老人回到家里，失望又疲惫。）
如：The Americans and the British not only speak the same language but also share a large number of social customs.（英国人和美国人不但语言相同，而且有很多相同的风俗习惯。）
