China's GDP expands 4.5 pct year on year in Q1
4月18日，国家统计局发布2023年一季度国民经济运行情况。初步核算，一季度国内生产总值284997亿元，按不变价格计算，同比增长4.5%。
China's gross domestic product grew 4.5 percent year on year in the first quarter of 2023, data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) showed Tuesday.
4月18日，国家统计局发布2023年一季度国民经济运行情况。初步核算，一季度国内生产总值同比增长4.5%。
On a quarterly basis, the economy increased 2.2 percent in the first three months.
经核算，一季度国内生产总值比上年四季度环比增长2.2%。
"China's national economy made a good start this year, and market expectation saw significant improvement," said NBS spokesperson Fu Linghui at a press conference.
国家统计局新闻发言人付凌晖在国新办新闻发布会上说：“今年以来，我国经济整体呈现恢复向好的态势，市场预期明显改善。”
China's GDP grew 3 percent year on year in 2022, and 2.9 percent year on year in the fourth quarter of last year.
2022年中国国内生产总值同比增长3%，去年第四季度同比增长2.9%。
